Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County is seeking an Association Resource Educator to lead and deliver agricultural and community education programs. You will develop curricula, collaborate with partners, and connect residents with university resources.

You will manage projects, evaluate outcomes, pursue grants, and nurture relationships with funders and stakeholders while ensuring alignment with the Plan of Work and funding requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Experience relevant to the role.
• Valid NYS driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to assess, develop, deliver, and evaluate programs.
• Ability to identify and secure funding and grants.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
• Technology skills: Microsoft Office, virtual meetings, and program-related software.
• Work environment includes office setting and outdoor conditions during growing season.

Responsibilities

• Identify gaps and trends in the community and develop program recommendations.
• Collaborate with staff and partners to develop new programming.
• Research, select, and create program resources.
• Maintain linkage with funders and Cornell University for guidance.
• Ensure programs align with the statewide Plan of Work.
• Create lesson plans and deliver programs.
• Serve as subject matter expert and answer inquiries.
• Participate in committees and professional organizations.
• Represent CCE to the public and stakeholders.
