Job summary

29 Acres, a nonprofit organization serving adults with ASD, is seeking an Activities Director in Cross Roads, TX. The role supports residents with engaging on- and off-campus events, coordinating a weekly activity calendar and ensuring safe, organized programs.

Flexible to evening/weekend hours, with a starting wage of $25 per hour. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must hold a valid Texas driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lead groups and supervise staff participation.
• Basic computer skills (Google Suite, Slack, LifeLoop preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; indoors and outdoors.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create a weekly calendar of meaningful leisure and recreational activities for residents.
• Procure materials for activities and attend, lead and encourage participation.
• Create attendance sheets for all scheduled activities and keep calendars up to date.
• Print and deliver calendars and materials to houses, residents and staff; est. evenings/weekends.
• Set up the environment for events and reminders; assist with clean-up as needed.
• Be available to lead activities and events in evenings and weekends.
• Re-evaluate supplies and calendar effectiveness; propose improvements.
