Job summary

Mississippi Blood Services is seeking a dedicated sales professional to expand donor groups and manage mobile drives across a defined territory. You will build relationships with hospital partners and donor groups, organize visits, and provide timely materials and education to chairs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four‑year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work at a faster than average pace to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to get things done correctly.
  • Effective public speaking skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Valid Mississippi driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Reliable vehicle and personal automobile liability insurance coverage.
  • The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
  • Stable work history.
  • A thorough understanding of blood center operations.
  • Ability to apply sales and marketing techniques as they relate to donor recruitment.
  • Excellent teamwork and customer relations skills.
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with and through other people to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve unit goals in assigned territory. Sales activities generate nearly 70% of total collections for MBS.
  • Develop and maintain strong productive relationships with existing groups and identify new groups and promotional opportunities.
  • Achieve acceptable performance in Unit Accuracy and Registration Accuracy for efficient mobile collection resources.
  • Maintain performance in units collected per drive and number of drives booked per month.
  • Book drives in accordance with Donor Resource's 12-Week process.
  • Commit company resources to mobile operations in a cost effective manner.
  • Develop donor groups and organize all mobile visits in assigned territory.
  • Generate mobile prep sheets, change sheets, and material order forms for each mobile visit.
  • Manage all aspects of the mobile from initial contact to follow‑up, including education of donor groups and delivery of material packets to chairpersons.
  • Maintain accurate physical records of each mobile visit and donor group.
  • Manage correspondence concerning donor protection for groups.
  • Attend department staff meetings, training sessions, and other company wide meetings.
