Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking communications technicians to perform data and fiber optic installations across commercial, healthcare, and industrial sites.

You will pull, terminate, and test data cables, fit out communications spaces, and install fiber, while following OSHA safety rules and providing guidance to apprentices. Experience with data cabling, fiber testing, and tool usage is preferred; background check and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience recommended.
• Own your own hand tools.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Pulling, termination, and testing horizontal data cables.
• Fitting out communications rooms in new and existing spaces.
• Installing, terminating, splicing and testing fiber optic cables.
• Operating tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Ability to work in commercial, healthcare, and industrial environments.

Job Description

Communications technicians will complete data and fiber optic installations. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities you will be completing the following:

• Pulling, termination, and testing horizontal data cables.
• Fitting out communications rooms in new and existing spaces.
• Installing, terminating, splicing and testing fiber optic cables.
• Operating tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Ability to work in commercial, healthcare, and industrial environments.
