Horizontal Talent is seeking a communications professional to lead internal messaging and brand alignment across a complex organization in Minnesota. The role focuses on shaping engagement initiatives, delivering timely, clear communications across multiple channels and teams.

You will develop strategies, create content, coordinate with departments and leadership, and ensure a unified voice while supporting brand transition and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of related professional experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience supporting communication planning or marketing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of media production and communications best practices.
  • Ability to present information clearly and maintain brand consistency.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfort working with internal partners, external vendors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop internal communication strategies aligned with organizational goals and brand direction.
  • Create engaging content for company websites, blogs, videos, photography, memos, and other communication channels.
  • Coordinate communication timing and messaging to support company events, initiatives, and leadership priorities.
  • Partner with internal departments and management to deliver accurate and timely updates to employees and stakeholders.
  • Help maintain consistency across communication materials, ensuring a unified voice and message.
  • Support research-driven recommendations for messaging, campaigns, and communication plans.
  • Track and present results from communication efforts and engagement activities.
  • Assist with brand transition work, including asset updates, website content, sales enablement materials, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Coordinate with legal and agency partners as needed on trademark, copyright, and other communication-related matters.
  • Support trade show messaging, media relations materials, and thought leadership content.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting brand transition or multi-location rollout initiatives.
  • Background in sales enablement, customer presentations, or trade show communications.
  • Familiarity with media relations and thought leadership messaging.
  • Experience coordinating with legal teams on trademark or copyright-related items.
  • Project management experience, including meeting coordination and progress reporting.
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into clear, engaging communications.
