Job summary

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity is hiring a Communications Specialist 13 to manage external communications and serve as Public Information Officer for the Employment and Training division.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in strategic communications.

Job description

This Communications Specialist 13 position at the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity manages all external communications and serves as Public Information Officer for the Employment and Training division.   • Ability to develop and execute strategic communications plans covering public relations, media relations, and stakeholder communications
  • Strong writing and copy editing skills for press releases, websites, publications, and promotional materials
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in strategic communications
