This falls under the IT Communications Org and is specifically IT to internal Client, They push messaging out to all of Client . When there is new technology or platforms rolling out or a new technology launch the engineering team works with this team to determine if it needs to be communicated, to whom, and how to communicate this in a way that will be understood by ALL Client. The field/offices, business, etc... This person / team are an internal "communication consulting service". This person will work with the technology teams to convert the technical verbiage to a simplified communication to shoot out via emails, etc to help all of Client understand how this technology will change their daily way of doing their jobs. They will explain the how this will benefit their user experience. They will craft emails, power points, and create a communication plan. They don't send any emails or distribute them, they get them ready to send out.

Ideal candidates will be someone that has some sort of technical communication experience who has taken technical information and knows how to craft concise messages to non-technical people. NOT a technical writer. This is a communications specialist. It doesn't necessarily need to be an IT communications specialist, but anyone who has worked with technical information. Someone with IT, Financial, Medical technical experience would work.

Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Communication Specialist, Senior (Contractor), to assist with developing internal communications to support a variety of IT initiatives.

The successful candidate will have experience developing communication strategies and compelling messaging, writing engaging copy for emails, presentations, digital collateral and other customer touchpoints, and using visual storytelling and graphics to support these messages. A successful candidate will develop positive working relationships with our stakeholders, and act as a key liaison between internal customers and project teams. In this role, you will develop communications to support technical initiatives and other team-centered campaigns, with a strong emphasis on delivering an excellent employee experience.

You will collaborate with leadership to craft, organize and promote messages to ensure success, ensuring all collateral and narratives accurately convey company and IT values to various audiences. You will also track and measure communications activities to assess and improve performance, develop and drive internal communications as needed, provide thought leadership and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Our IT Communications team culture is collaborative, fun and encourages fresh ideas and bold thinking.

This position will allow for a hybrid work schedule, requiring a semi-regular on-site presence at both our St. Louis campus locations when needed (Lakeside and Clayton Corporate Headquarters).

Required:

Highly independent, motivated communicator with experience executing global campaigns.

3+ years in communications, creative marketing, marketing agency and/or marketing communications project management roles.

3+ years of experience in visual storytelling and business writing.

Strong project management skills, time management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Strategic perspective related to communication, as well as critical thinking skills and approach.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a broad range of employee segments across the company, including senior leadership.

Expert proofreading and editing skills.

Ability to drive discussions about tools and associated campaigns to inform effective outcomes and deliverables.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.

Ability and desire to advocate for internal users of varying technologies through a customer first approach.

Experience working in a highly matrixed environment, including supporting multiple leaders simultaneously.

Experience leading project teams and influencing/gaining consensus from peers and leaders.

Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.

Preferred:

Experience with IT-focused initiatives and global technology rollouts

Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field

Master's in communications or MBA

Experience designing various types of collateral, including one-pagers/flyers, infographics, presentations, web graphics, etc. adhering to brand standards.

Experience with video storyboarding, recording & editing

Experience with SharePoint
