The Communications Specialist plays a vital role in advancing Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University's brand and reputation through strategic, engaging communications. This position collaborates with stakeholders across the University to develop compelling content, support media relations, manage internal communications, and promote institutional priorities across a variety of platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with exceptional writing skills, sound news judgment, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and engaging manner. • Generous Time Off: Enjoy up to 18 days of paid leave in your first year, including 3 days granted upon hire and 15 days accrued throughout the year. You'll also receive 9+ paid holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience writing, editing, and creating content across multiple communication platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting media relations and developing strategic communications.
• Familiarity with graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience working in higher education or another complex, mission-driven organization is a plus.
