QAT Global is a U.S.-based IT consulting firm with more than 30 years of experience delivering software and business solutions for enterprise clients, with nearshore operations across the U.S., Brazil, and Costa Rica. We're looking for a Communications Specialist to join our team on-site in Omaha, Nebraska.

This role suits a practical, organized communicator who can turn day-to-day communication needs into consistent, dependable routines. On-site, you'll split your time between hands-on client communication support (approximately 20 to 25 hours per week) and broader communications work for QAT Global. It's a great fit for someone who manages recurring deadlines well and works comfortably across multiple stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Plan, write, and distribute recurring newsletters and social media content using approved brand standards.
• Maintain a content calendar covering newsletters, social media, website updates, digital signage, and key deadlines.
• Gather stories, photos, and updates from client teams and subject-matter experts.
• Update digital signage, announcement boards, and select website content.
• Create and maintain reusable templates, and repurpose content across channels.
• Track basic engagement data and prepare monthly progress updates.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong professional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Hands-on experience producing newsletters, social media content, or similar communication materials.
• Ability to adapt messaging for different audiences while keeping a consistent brand voice.
• Experience managing multiple assignments and recurring deadlines at once.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms and common content/design tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment with sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of communications, PR, or marketing experience.
• Experience supporting a school district, public-sector, or nonprofit organization.
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, or similar design tools.
