SEIU Healthcare Michigan (HCMI) in Detroit seeks a Communications Specialist to lead compelling campaigns, coordinate media outreach, and amplify the Union’s impact among members, leaders, and the public.
You will draft materials for organizing, bargaining, political advocacy, produce photo and video content, publish on social media, update WordPress sites, and support events. Strong communication, project management, and proficiency with Canva and social platforms are essential.

The Detroit area-based Communications Specialist is responsible for execution of compelling communications strategies for HCMI. This person will play an important role in amplifying HCMI’s impact by coordinating communications with the media, the general public, and other Union stakeholders.

$60,000 –$65,000 based on experience

The position is a full-time position that occasionally requires long and irregular hours, including some nights, weekends and holidays.
