Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Communications, Policy and Data Analyst to support program management, tasking execution, strategic planning, policy review, metrics generation, and reporting activities at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This role will provide support to a unit-specific data team that executes numerous data analytics productions and executive tasking responses daily. The position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS), with the possibility of in-person work in DC on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data analysis and communications support, including drafting responses to congressional correspondence, requests for information, unit-specific taskings, and documentation for senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with federal law enforcement managers and subject matter experts.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate complex and technical policies, procedures, and programs clearly and succinctly.
  • Track and report progress on high-profile tasks, subtasks, and reports.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests such as research, process improvement, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and compile information for timely responses.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions to client issues and challenges.
  • Support cross-disciplinary team members to ensure project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are met.
  • Develop and disseminate information and documentation for customers and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, quick-turnaround US government environment.

Clearance Required: Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required).

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to translate mission needs into tactical reports, visual artifacts, and policy analysis.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with team and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks.

Salary Range

The posted salary range is indicative and may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation may include additional elements discussed during hiring.

Salary Range: USD $80,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 per year.
