Job summary

MESA Charter High School is seeking a part-time Communications Intern to support the External Affairs & Communications team across three Brooklyn campuses. You will help with storytelling, enrollment communications, community engagement, and creating donor and board materials to keep the network's brand consistent and visible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR a Rising College Senior; available to work in person 3-5 days per week
• Proven track-record of high community engagement and at least two years of experience in community work
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Solutions-oriented, proactive with an all-hands-on-deck mentality
• Belief in and alignment with MESA's core values, educational philosophy and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed
• Spanish language fluency a plus

Responsibilities

• Support development of MESA's annual impact report with student, family, and staff stories across campuses
• Draft newsletters, website content, social media, press materials, and donor-facing communications
• Coordinate with campuses to collect photos, videos, and event updates for a shared submission process
• Manage and schedule content across social platforms and monitor engagement metrics
• Maintain and update website content including staff bios, calendars, job postings, board minutes, and campus news
• Coordinate recruitment materials and translated campaigns across campuses
