Education and/or Experience
- Undergraduate degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts or Graphic Design desirable.
- Website content management experience required.
- Social media content creation and management experience required.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Proficient with English grammar and possesses skills in news-style writing, feature writing, copywriting, proofreading and editing.
- Experience or able to learn design software, including the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Excel and database programs.
- Photography and videography skills preferred but not required.
- Experience with web and social media management.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize projects.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
- Assist with the production of the club's bi-monthly newsletter (Carmeline), daily email communications (Carmel Daily), website content management, content creation and management of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram) and other internal and external communications. They support the Director of Communications & Membership from an administrative standpoint and are able to answer basic questions about membership options available at the Club.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Assists with the production of the club magazine (Carmeline); collects, organizes and submits copy for production on a timely basis; proofs contents for corrections and changes; assist with design and layout of page format.
- Coordinates with all departments for the Carmel Daily.
- Assists with the creation of print materials for all areas of the Club
- Routinely updates member databases with current contact information
- Assists with documentation of club activities such as Club functions, golf tournaments, and team member events
- Assists with the distribution of clubwide surveys, both internal and external
- Maintains the website for accuracy and relevancy on a routine basis
- Assists with the maintenance of the Club's social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Assists with managing digital signage in all areas of the Club.
- Updates member information such as email addresses, images, addresses, car stickers and phone numbers.
- Filing and record keeping of member accounts including applications and letters of support.
- Sends monthly age up notifications to members of records for dependents.
- Serves as point of contact for summer nanny registrations.
- Assists with new member events as needed.
- Performs any other duties deemed necessary by supervisor
Licenses and Special Requirements
- May be asked to take a proofreading and editing test as part of interview process.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and outdoor conditions.
- Position may require some nights and weekend availability.
