As a Communications Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy for Digital Asset and the Canton Network. This includes driving internal and external messaging, managing media relationships, supporting ecosystem storytelling, and aligning efforts across the Canton Foundation and Canton Network participants.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & Messaging:
- Play a role in developing core messaging for the Canton Network and maintain consistent positioning across all communications channels
- Draft, edit, and manage content: press releases, blog posts, social media, FAQs, web copy, newsletters, speeches, and internal updates
- Coordinate closely with Digital Asset leadership to align messaging on broader company initiatives with Canton-related efforts
Ecosystem & Foundation Alignment:
- Collaborate with the Foundation’s communications and governance teams to support cross-entity communications plans
- Help craft and manage joint initiatives (e.g., developer updates, governance news, technical milestones) under the Foundation's purview
- Ensure Foundation messaging is harmonized with Canton Network’s goals, narrative, and regulatory sensitivities
- Partner with communications leads at banks, asset managers, exchanges, and other ecosystem firms to coordinate external messaging
- Manage approval workflows for co-branded announcements, press, and event sponsorships
- Build shared communications calendars across the network and synchronize content for major milestones (launches, integrations, product rollouts)
Media Relations & Thought Leadership:
- Develop relationships with top-tier fintech, crypto, and traditional finance reporters
- Identify and secure opportunities for executives and ecosystem leaders to speak at key industry conferences and in the media
- Prepare spokespeople with briefing documents, talking points, and media training where needed
Internal Communications:
- Maintain regular internal updates on Canton Network progress and ecosystem developments via newsletters, All Hands support, and internal collaboration tools
- Partner with HR and leadership to ensure transparent communication on change initiatives or governance updates
Measurement & Reporting:
- Monitor media coverage, track sentiment and engagement, and generate reporting for internal stakeholders
- Manage communications KPIs and assess campaign effectiveness
Campaign & Launch Coordination:
- Lead multi-stakeholder communications campaigns for major product releases, ecosystem partnerships, and governance changes
- Coordinate with PR agencies, design, and marketing teams to ensure timely, high-quality execution
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, legal, and communications teams to ensure precision and compliance
Key Criteria
- 6–10 years in financial services, technology, or blockchain-focused communications, ideally within fintech, capital markets, or infrastructure
- Experience managing or coordinating communications across multiple external partners or stakeholder groups
- Experience translating technical concepts for general business and press audiences
- Experience supporting or managing an ecosystem of partner communications
- Strong media instincts with a proven record of managing high-impact announcements and narratives
Pay Transparency: The estimated salary range for this role, based in our New York City office, is $110,000 to $140,000.
