Job description

Now accepting applications for the Communications Team. Internships are located at our offices in Washington, DC.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget is looking for enthusiastic Communications intern to join our team. We are a nonpartisan; non-profit organization committed to educating the public on issues with significant fiscal policy impact. Our bipartisan leadership comprises some of the nation's leading budget experts, which has included many past heads of the House and Senate Budget Committees, the Congressional Budget Office, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Government Accountability Office.

We welcome applications from highly motivated undergraduate or graduate students year-round, though interns typically work for one semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer). Interns may work full-time or part-time while attending classes. Interns work as full members of their respective teams, attending meetings and working alongside full-time staff members. All interns will be paid the DC minimum wage.

This internship is located at our offices in Washington, DC. We are currently working in a hybrid environment; interns will be expected to work in person on days when the staff are working in the office with some flexibility needed depending on the team's needs and in coordination with your supervisor. The internship will begin in September and run until mid-December.

TheCommunications team seeks to advance the Committee’s work and message with members of the media and the public. Hourly Wage: $18.40/hour
