AECOM is seeking a highly motivated part-time Communications Intern to support our Energy Practice during the academic year on a flexible, as-needed basis in New York. This role offers hands-on experience in marketing content, thought leadership, and client materials while engaging with energy clients including utilities and oil & gas.
Work will include content creation, social media, and events support with a flexible schedule (5–15 hours/week during the academic year).

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated part-time Communications Intern to support our growing Energy Practice during the academic year on a flexible, as-needed basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a student interested in energy, infrastructure, marketing, communications, and business development to gain hands-on experience supporting AECOM as we engage with some of North America's largest electric utility, power generation, transmission, and oil & gas clients.
Working directly with industry leaders, you will help create compelling marketing content, support thought leadership initiatives, develop client-facing qualifications materials, and contribute innovative ideas that help strengthen AECOM's presence across the energy sector.
We're looking for someone who brings energy, creativity, and initiative to every assignment and is eager to contribute wherever support is needed.
Candidates must be pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Public Relations, Engineering, Energy Studies, or a related field and must have completed at least 3 years of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and plan to continue with the Master's Degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

This role is expected to work 5-15 hours per week during the academic year, with flexibility based on workload, project needs, and the student's schedule.
