Our IS4S Ogden, Utah location is seeking to hire an experienced communications engineer to support the development of a modular, open communication system for unmanned airborne platforms. We are looking for candidates who are self-starters, teachable, and able to learn new things as they work with others to solve challenging technical problems. Work varies from core, low-level development to high-level system architecture design that interacts with other DoD components.

The successful candidate will have:
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain an active Secret level security clearance. B.S. in a relevant field is required, M.S. or Ph.D. preferred. Prior experience with tactical waveforms, software defined radios, embedded software development, RF hardware design and testing is necessary. SMEs may be required to travel. Additional qualifications of interest include prior military datalink experience, familiarity with DoD open standards, proficiency with Link 16 terminals and tactical radios, modeling networks of waveforms, radio front end and antenna integration, and working within or with the DoD. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently are essential.
