Job summary

Moorings Park Communities is seeking a Communications Copywriter to craft executive messages, resident communications, and PR content across channels. You will interview residents and leaders, develop newsletters, and shape digital communications to tell meaningful stories about our Life Plan communities.

The role emphasizes independent work, high-quality storytelling, and impact-driven content for a premier retirement setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, public relations, marketing or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of three years in corporate communications, journalism, PR or related writing role preferred.
• Strong portfolio showing executive writing, storytelling, edits and multi-format content.

We're looking for a talented Communications Copywriter who can help us tell those stories.

This is not a traditional marketing copywriting position.

This role focuses on executive communications, resident communications, organizational storytelling, social media, public relations, and content development for one of the nation's premier retirement communities.

What You'll Do

• Write executive communications, speeches, presentations, and leadership messages.
• Develop resident newsletters and community communications.
• Interview residents, leaders, partners, and community contributors.
• Write press releases, media stories, and public relations content.
• Develop website , email , and digital communications.
• Help identify and capture meaningful stories happening throughout the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism , Communications, English, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Minimum of three years of professional experience in corporate communications, journalism, public relations, content development, executive communications, or a related writing role preferred.
• Strong professional portfolio demonstrating executive writing, feature storytelling, editing, digital content, and polished execution across multiple formats and audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to gather information, conduct interviews, develop content strategy, and carry assignments from initial concept through review, revision, approval, and publication with a high degree of independence.
• Experience within healthcare, hospitality, lifestyle, luxury services, senior living, nonprofit, agency, media, or another service-oriented and reputation-sensitive environment preferred.
• Experience supporting executive communications, public relations, social media, resident or customer communications, and multi-site operations preferred.
