Job summary

Aquent is seeking a seasoned communications professional in Los Angeles to lead and support events and media relations across sports and lifestyle categories. You will manage logistics, coordinate product seeding, and help shape athlete storytelling for a leading global brand.

The role requires strong project management, deep local media knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver flawless experiences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years in communications, PR, events, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/experience).
  • Strong knowledge of sports, culture, media and creator landscapes in a major metro area.
  • Exceptional project management and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Experience supporting media relations, events, launches, and creator programs.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with media, creators, agencies and partners.
  • Passion for sport and athlete storytelling in a global brand.

What You'll Do
  • Support the execution of communications programs across various categories, including Training, Running, and Sportswear.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics for media experiences, ensuring precision and operational excellence.
  • Coordinate product seeding efforts and organize seasonal product previews.
  • Support media events, workouts, runs, and athlete- or community-led experiences.
  • Engage with an ecosystem of media and earned creators, fostering strong relationships.
  • Contribute to shaping memorable experiences for media and creators, enhancing brand presence and engagement.
What You'll Bring (Must-Have)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, events, marketing, or related functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, or any combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • Strong knowledge of a major metropolitan area's sports, cultural, media, and creator landscape.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and logistics simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting media relations, event execution, product launches, and creator engagement programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media, creators, agencies, and cross-functional partners.
  • Passion for sport and enthusiasm for products and athlete storytelling within a leading global brand.
  • Proficiency in Keynote and Excel.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, solution-oriented, and personable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while navigating ambiguity across a global matrix organization.
