Job summary

LifeCenter Northwest is seeking a Communications Coordinator to craft compelling stories and educational materials about organ, eye, and tissue donation. You will manage internal communications, intranet maintenance, and weekly newsletters while shaping external content for social media and the website.

The role requires strong writing, editing, and graphic design skills, plus comfort coordinating with hospitals, media, and legislators in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • BA degree preferred in writing, communications, online or print marketing, journalism or public relations, or similar experience in the field.
  • Relevant work experience can be considered in lieu of academic requirements.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemptions may be required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews, writes, and edits stories featuring staff, donor families, and recipients that highlight the impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation.
  • Maintains and updates the employee intranet and SharePoint with current content.
  • Produces and distributes weekly employee newsletters to keep staff informed and engaged.
  • Supports content development and posting for LifeCenter Northwest’s social media accounts and website.
  • Assists with outreach campaigns and digital strategy, monitoring effectiveness across channels.

Job description

The Communications Coordinator supports LifeCenter Northwest’s mission as an integral member of the communications team, developing compelling stories, graphics, and educational materials that raise awareness about the lifesaving power of organ, eye, and tissue donation. This role provides essential support across multiple communication channels, including content creation for external audiences, internal employee engagement through the intranet and weekly newsletters, and coordination with hospitals, media, and legislators. Employees enrolled in our 403(b) program will receive an employer match of up to 7% after one year, employees are auto enrolled at 3% and may change their enrollment at any time. LifeCenter encourages all employees to find balance and well-being and provides all employees access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and provides a quarterly Wellness Reimbursement. Employees enjoy paid holidays throughout the calendar year and earn 119 hours of PTO annually (to start) as well as Health Time Off hours that is earned 1 hour per 30 worked, paid living donor leave, two weeks paid jury duty leave after 6 months of service, and three weeks of paid parental leave after one year of service is complete. Where a candidate’s compensation falls within this range is based on several bona fide factors such as experience, tenure, and other specialized knowledge.
