Job Description

Dallas School District No. 2 is accepting applications for the positionof Communications Coordinator. This position builds sustained District communications capacity and shapes a coherent, proactive District narrative.

Special Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with coursework in communication preferred; three years experience in online publishing, social media, or public relations preferred.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, parents, staff, regulatory agencies, or members of the community.
  • Online publishing, basic graphic design skills, video production experience preferred.
  • Works well with others from diverse backgrounds. Focuses on solving conflict, maintaining confidentiality, listening to others without interrupting, keeping emotions under control, remaining open to others’ ideas, and contributing to district a positive team spirit.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with staff and public.
  • Must have possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Oregon Driver License and ability to obtain a valid CPR/First Aid card.
  • Follows and maintains knowledge of district policies and procedures.

Dallas School District provides qualifying veterans and disabled veterans with preference in employment according to Oregon Revised Statutes.
