The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Communications Coordinator to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Cranston, RI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports our client account teams in the writing, design, and development of client communication materials, including print, PowerPoint, web-based content, video, and other collateral.
  • Coordinate with other members of the Marketing and Communications team to design layouts and update text and graphics for client benefit guides/brochures, presentations, and other communication materials
  • Import text and graphics into InDesign,use Illustrator and Photoshop, and create page layout; position artwork and text on page layout
  • Edit and/or write text, as needed
  • Select formatting properties, such as text size and paragraph spacing; ensure character and paragraph styles are used correctly and consistentl
  • Find and edit graphics, such as photographs or illustrations
  • Retouch images to improve quality – both in print and digital formats; suggest and apply improvement
  • Coordinate peer review and approval process for all assigned work
  • Once approved, finalize documents for printing and/or electronic publication
  • Send final documents to the printer; check proofs for errors and make corrections, if needed
  • Assist with design of templates, including format and general content, with direction from Manager
  • Assist with peer review of documents for other team members in the department

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a professional setting
  • Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer, Desktop Publisher, or similar role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in InDesign and PowerPoint is a must; advanced PowerPoint stills are a plus
  • Working knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite products (Illustrator, Photoshop) is desired
  • Creativity skills with attention to detail; must have a good eye for how graphics and text will look to create layouts that are visually appealing, legible, and easy to read
  • Excellent time management and project management skills; must be able to manage multiple projects, work under strict deadlines, be proficient at scheduling and prioritizing tasks, and communicating any workload issues to manager.
