Job description

Reports To: Director of Communications and Marketing

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: New York, NY

Background

Israel Policy Forum is a nonpartisan U.S. organization that advances policy ideas and educates community leaders to support effective U.S. engagement on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We work to strengthen U.S. policy and cultivate an informed community of leaders committed to a viable resolution of the conflict that ensures Israel’s security as a Jewish and democratic state, provides for Palestinian national aspirations, bolsters U.S.-Israel relations, and enhances regional security, stability, and cooperation.

Israel Policy Forum is uniquely positioned in both the policy and Jewish communities, producing rigorous policy analysis trusted by U.S. decision-makers across the political spectrum, and convening programs that equip rising community and policy leaders to elevate the quality of discourse on U.S. policy toward Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Position Summary

The position helps advance the visibility of the organization, its mission, programs, and spokespeople by supporting the implementation of communications initiatives across traditional and digital platforms.

Key responsibilities include building and distributing email campaigns, posting content to social media channels, proofreading and formatting written materials, updating website content, providing registration and logistical support for virtual events, collecting and organizing data from communications platforms, and assisting with administrative and project-based tasks that support the day-to-day needs of a fast‑paced communications department.

  • Publish and maintain website content through the content management system, including articles, reports, podcasts, event pages, press releases, media mentions, and other organizational updates.
  • Assist with maintaining social media calendars, monitoring platform trends and audience engagement, and identifying opportunities to expand reach and strengthen digital engagement.
Multimedia and Visual Asset Support
  • Create and coordinate multimedia assets using tools such as Canva, Descript, and Adobe Creative Suite, including social graphics, email graphics, video clips, audio/video promotional materials, thumbnails, and presentation materials.
  • Source and organize photos, graphics, and other visual assets from internal and external platforms, ensuring proper licensing, attribution, brand alignment, and file organization.
Virtual Event Communications and Logistics
  • Support virtual event logistics and audience communications, including registration setup, reminder emails, webinar platform support, recording management, and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, speakers, and external partners to prepare event materials, confirm technical details, support live event execution, and ensure timely post-event communications.
