Job description

The LDES Council is a global non-profit organization, with founding members and a Board made up of executives and business leaders from leading energy companies, technology providers, investors, and end-users. The LDES Council advances the decarbonization of our world through the acceleration of long-duration energy storage by providing member-driven, fact-based guidance and research on the deployment of long-duration energy storage for society's benefit.

We are on the lookout for a creative and industrious Communications Analyst with digital media chops to join our Communications team. This role is perfect for someone who can leverage their existing skill-set to help grow the LDES Council’s external presence and impact and is eager to dive into several aspects of multi-channel communications strategy and execution.

Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Planning: Support the Communications Director in the development and execution of strategic communication plans that align with business objectives and ensure consistency in tone and message.
  2. Content Development: Enable the development of excellent external and intra-LDES Council communications and share responsibility for organizational communications channels, including website, social media and CRM. Strong writing skills preferred.
  3. External Relations: Maintain and grow strong relationships with external stakeholders, including media relations and community engagement activities. Event planning experience desired.
  4. Digital Media: Develop and implement digital communications strategies that leverage online channels to strategically reach target audiences and foster engagement. Responsibility includes oversight of social media platforms.
  5. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and report on the performance of digital communications and social media campaigns and posts, utilizing analytics tools to gather insights and make recommendations for improvement. Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with the Communications Director to contribute to larger campaigns and initiatives, ensuring a cohesive brand message across all platforms. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  7. Understand the LDES Council brand, members, goals, and all other aspects of service.
Qualifications:
  1. At least three years of experience working in communications and/or marketing.
  2. Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/web/text), and communication skills.
  3. Intellectual curiosity, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen sense of what makes content shareable.
  4. Creativity and the ability to produce innovative and original ideas.
  5. Familiarity with online marketing strategies and CRM platforms, with familiarity for Hubspot a plus.
  6. Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines within a global team.
  7. Energy industry communications experience preferred.
Location:

Candidates are ideally based in the United States. This position is remote.
