Overview

Emerging Tech is seeking a Communications Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Integration Office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in end-user engagement, accessibility compliance, and communications management. The Communications Analyst will ensure that all program-produced materials, dashboards, websites, and communications meet accessibility standards, track communications initiatives, and escalate issues proactively.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional work experience
  • Experience creating, applying, and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance metrics
  • Experience developing routine and ad hoc reports
  • Ability to present analytical findings clearly in both narrative and graphical formats
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, or related field (an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar federal healthcare environments
  • Experience implementing electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of 508 accessibility compliance and strategies for integrating accessibility into communications and training materials
Key Responsibilities
  • Support end-user engagement and adoption initiatives for the VA EHRM Integration Office
  • Review and ensure 508 compliance for all materials, including dashboards, websites, and outward-facing communications
  • Collaborate with Change Management and training teams to integrate accessibility compliance into strategies and project plans
  • Proactively track communications initiatives, identify risks, and escalate issues early
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools for communications projects and performance metrics
  • Create routine and ad hoc reports to summarize findings, status, and recommendations
  • Present analytical insights in clear, accessible formats for leadership and stakeholders
  • Assist in optimizing communications processes to improve efficiency, compliance, and engagement
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between project teams, training teams, and leadership
