Key Responsibilities
1. Reinvent the Social Media Strategy
Move beyond channels and followers to build an influence ecosystem.
- Develop a multi-year vision for social innovation
- Identify emerging behaviors, technologies and platforms before competitors
- Redefine how the organization creates and distributes expertise
- Establish audience-first content models
- Build social experiences that create participation rather than passive consumption
- Challenge legacy KPIs and introduce business-impact measurement
2. Build Industry Influence
Transform the company into an industry and energy destination.
- Partner with our leadership team on integrating strategies for executives and technical experts
- Build programs that elevate engineers, researchers and subject matter experts
- Expand industry influence through strategic partnerships and communities
- Create new formats that simplify complex technologies
- Position the company as the interpreter of industry change rather than simply a reporter of news
3. Lead Social Innovation
Serve as the innovation engine for digital engagement.
- Evaluate emerging platforms and technologies
- Pilot AI-assisted content creation workflows
- Test new content formats and audience engagement models

- Create an experimentation framework with rapid testing and learning
4. Embed Social Across the Business
Develop social as a shared enterprise capability.

- Build repeatable content engines around strategic priorities

- Develop platform-native content experiences
- Establish creative frameworks and distinctive visual treatments
- Align content formats to audience behaviors and platform strengths
6. Own Community and Conversation
Create two-way engagement at scale.
- Develop social listening and intelligence programs
- Build community engagement strategies
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities
- Establish response playbooks and escalation procedures
- Turn audience insights into business recommendations
7. Deliver Business Intelligence and Measurement
Redefine how success is measured.

Required Experience
- 10+ years in social media, digital strategy, communications, brand or content leadership
- Experience building enterprise-scale social media programs
- Strong understanding of audience development and influence-building
- Experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives
