Job Description: The Communications Specialist for the departments of History and Anthropology is a dynamic individual with very strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. The Specialist will collaborate with the department managers and chairs of these departments to manage internal and external communications to engage the departments’ many constituencies. This position is responsible for developing and implementing communications and outreach for the departments that will effectively elevate the profile of the departments and their programs across campus, among their constituents, and in the broader higher education community. This position is responsible for managing website content for the two departments, social media platforms, and marketing materials (print and digital, with a focus on a digital-first communications strategy). The position will also lead alumni outreach and engagement efforts.
