Job summary

Equans North America is seeking a Communications & Marketing Specialist to join the corporate team in New York City. The role reports to the Head of Strategy, Communications and M&A and focuses on strengthening internal and external communications across the region.

The position blends communications, marketing, employer branding and ESG activities, offering exposure to corporate development and regional growth initiatives. Collaboration with senior leadership is key.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Experience in industrial/energy/technical services environment preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication; French a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of internal communications strategy.
  • Produce and manage NA employee newsletter.
  • Coordinate campaigns on safety culture, engagement, and priorities.
  • Manage the North America Ambassador Program.
  • Create employee spotlight stories and internal video content.
  • Plan communications for the annual NA Leadership Convention with senior managers.
  • Collaborate with leaders and operating companies to ensure messaging consistency.
  • Manage content planning for LinkedIn and other digital channels.
  • Coordinate website updates and external communication initiatives.
  • Create content highlighting projects, customer successes, and innovations.
  • Ensure materials align with Equans branding guidelines.
  • Develop corporate presentations and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate production of corporate videos and promotional content.
  • Support business development with marketing collateral and case studies.
  • Assist ESG reporting and sustainability storytelling.
  • Coordinate ESG campaigns and track performance indicators.

The opportunity

Equans North America is seeking a Communication & Marketing Specialist to join its corporate team in New York City.

Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, Communications and M&A, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening both internal and external communications across the region. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and support strategic initiatives across a fast-growing organization.

The role combines communications, marketing, employer branding and ESG engagement, while providing exposure to corporate development and regional growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Internal communications & employee engagement
  • Support the development and execution of Equans North America's internal communication strategy.
  • Produce, coordinate, and manage the North America employee newsletter.
  • Coordinate communication campaigns supporting key topics such as: Safety culture, Employee engagement, Corporate priorities and strategic objectives
  • Manage and coordinate the North America Ambassador Program.
  • Create employee spotlight stories, project success stories and internal video content.
  • Support planning and communications for the annual North America Leadership Convention bringing together 130 senior managers.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and operating companies to gather content and support consistent messaging across the organization.
External communications & brand management
  • Manage and develop the day-to-day content planning and publishing for Equans North America's presence on LinkedIn and other digital channels.
  • Coordinate website content updates and support external communication initiatives.
  • Create content highlighting major projects, customer successes, innovation initiatives and employee achievements.
  • Ensure communication and marketing materials align with Equans Group branding and communication guidelines.
Marketing & corporate content
  • Develop and maintain corporate presentations and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate the production of corporate videos and promotional content.
  • Support business development teams with marketing collateral, project references, case studies
Sustainability, ESG & CSR
  • Assist in the preparation and communication of ESG reporting and performance indicators
  • Coordinate communication campaigns related to sustainability commitments and achievements.
  • Work with operating companies to collect and promote ESG success stories and best practices
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent combinationof education and relevant experience. Master’s degree is an asset, but not required.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Experience in an industrial, construction, energy or technical services environment is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • French language skills is a plus.
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling and content development skills
  • Creative mindset combined with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach.
  • Experience with Canva, video editing tools or marketing platforms
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manager multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to travel periodically for events, project visits, content development, and Operating Company Collaboration
