Job Summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is a comprehensive university dedicated to quality education, research, and service. Assignments will include teaching Public and Effective Speaking classes.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Public and Effective Speaking classes.
• Guiding students to develop communication skills such as speech organization, outlining, delivery, audience analysis, and learning how to critique speeches.
• Working with the Communication Lab Director to promote and support public‑speaking related events.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in public speaking as well as teaching the theory and craft of public speaking.

• Possess knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job tasks.
