Clearance: TS/SCI REQUIRED

For the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence, Intelligence and Security Branch (OUSDI(I&S)), the Commonwealth & Partner Engagement Directorate (C&PE) is seeking candidates with regional understanding, policy knowledge, and expertise supporting DOD programs involving foreign intelligence relationships. Individuals in this role will serve as foreign relationships facilitators for C&PE leadership, focusing on North Africa/Near East partners. Candidates must be able to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-visibility, and unstructured environments.

Primary Duties
  1. Propose and manage initiatives for relationship building with partners in the North Africa/Near East region, such as facilitating Defense Intelligence Strategic Dialogues.
  2. Promote and strengthen relations with regional partners by coordinating planning and sharing meetings with these partners and OUSD(I&S) staff and leadership.
  3. Coordinate with stakeholders across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE), DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), and Country Teams on North Africa/Near East issues.
  4. Leverage C&PE mechanisms like Action Plans or Defense Intelligence Partner Engagement Boards to synchronize engagements.
  5. Prepare staff packages, read-aheads, and materials on North Africa/Near East partner topics for DoD official visits.
  6. Draft OUSD(I&S) responses to Executive Branch and Congressional inquiries.
  7. Coordinate information across COCOMs and OSD organizations for meetings with foreign partners.
  8. Maintain relationships with defense attachés.
  9. Coordinate travel, meetings, and partner engagements for OUSD(I&S) officials.
  10. Coordinate with partner nation liaison officers before foreign dignitary meetings.
  11. Handle administrative and protocol logistics for foreign visits to the Pentagon.
Qualifications and Education
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Seven years of experience with national, DoD, and IC policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of foreign affairs and foreign intelligence relationships
  • Experience in preparing and coordinating staff packages and briefings for senior DoD leadership
  • Experience with Asia and North Africa/Near East issues (highly desired)
  • Experience coordinating across DoD and IC stakeholder communities (highly desired)
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science or related field (highly desired)

This full-time role operates Monday through Friday in a professional office environment with standard office equipment. Limited travel may be required. Physical demands include talking, hearing, standing, walking, using hands, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.
