Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking an entry-level civil or environmental engineer in our Fort Wayne, IN office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pending or recent graduate pursuing professional engineering in potable water, wastewater, stormwater, dams, levees, site civil work, and sustainable infrastructure. You will join project teams addressing environmental infrastructure challenges with a strong emphasis on learning and growth.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering; FE exam certification is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to learn and apply fundamentals of engineering
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to engineering tasks
• Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior team member
• Perform sub-professional engineering tasks such as field work, inspections, reports, permits, construction engineering, and simple design calculations
• Coordinate with contractors
• Review construction drawings and specifications
• Contact government officials for permits
