Job summary

Singer Vehicle Design in Torrance, CA is seeking a Commodity Manager to develop commodity strategies, source and qualify vendors, negotiate pricing and place purchase orders to fulfill demand.

You will manage supplier relationships, ensure MRP data accuracy, and lead RFQ/RFP/RFQ activities within a cross-functional team to meet program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field is required.
• Three (3) or more years of experience as Buyer, Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Specialist, GSM or equivalent.
• Proven ability to onboard and contract pricing agreements with suppliers.
• Knowledge of procurement strategies, should cost models and technology roadmaps.
• Bonus points if you come from a rapid growth environment and/or automotive/aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Issuance of RFQs and manage supplier relationships and performance to meet program milestones.
• Ensure accuracy of part master data within MRP and generate purchase requisitions and POs.
• Support issuing RFI, RFP, RFQ, PO placement and other purchasing activities as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet company-wide goals.

Location & Schedule: Onsite in Torrance , CA . This is a salaried, exempt role, but the General schedule is 7am-3:30pm.

The starting pay range for this position is between $86,953 - 108,691 per year plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
