Remote Commodity Coordinator – Foodservice Industry

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience Location: Remote (U.S.-based) Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt

A well-established, rapidly growing national food manufacturing company is seeking a Commodity Coordinator to join its expanding team. This role is fully remote and supports K-12 school foodservice programs across the country. The right candidate will play a vital role in ensuring USDA commodity allocations are managed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with federal guidelines.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with schools, processors, and internal teams to deliver best-in-class support.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and reconcile USDA commodity balances across multiple programs and school districts.
  • Manage daily activities within Processor Link (or similar systems), ensuring accurate data entry and tracking.
  • Create and distribute reports detailing school drawdown balances and usage trends.
  • Collaborate with processors, schools, and internal teams to ensure timely commodity drawdowns.
  • Track end-of-year balances to minimize carryover or waste.
  • Analyze commodity usage to recommend improvements in allocation and planning.
  • Maintain organized records for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Support sales and leadership teams with reporting, data analysis, and special projects.
  • Provide training and guidance to schools on commodity processes.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Nutrition, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commodity management, K-12 foodservice, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Processor Link (or equivalent systems).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
