A Commitment Records Specialist Supervisor is the supervisory level of work establishing and maintaining commitment records files and resolving problems in the calculation of Incarcerated Individual’s commitment, jail, and prison sentences. Employees in this classification ensure compliance with State laws, court orders and the regulations and policies of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. Employees interact with the public, Incarcerated Individual attorneys and officials to provide information and resolve concerns. Employees in this classification supervise lower-level Commitment Records Specialists.
Employees in this classification receive general supervision from a Commitment Records Specialist Manager, a Warden or Assistant Warden or other designated headquarters staff. The work may be performed in a correctional facility environment.
Employees are subject to call-in 24 hours a day and may be required to work on evenings, weekends and holidays.
