Job description

Do you want to join an organization that invests in you as a Commitment Analyst? At HealthTrust, you come first. HCA Healthcare has committed up to $300 million in programs to support our incredible team members over the course of three years.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Commitment Analyst manages the highly complex process of aligning HealthTrust members to appropriate contract tiers. The Commitment Analyst also provides guidance to HealthTrust Sourcing personnel and HealthTrust Supplier personnel to ensure the tier structure can be effectively operationalized. Examples of operational considerations include ensuring the tier structure meets technology system requirements and can be managed down-stream by the HealthTrust member or in HealthTrust analytical platforms. The Commitment Analyst must also collaborate regularly with members and suppliers and take lead in directly resolving or escalating resolution to issues that arise. Examples of issues that may arise include but are not limited to: Suppliers disputing the qualification of member's access to the tier, the supplier's timeliness in approving the tier election.

Effectively managing this highly complex process is critical to the HealthTrust business for many reasons, a few of which are:

  • Ensuring correct pricing on POs and Invoices because inaccurate price alignment causes price discrepancies (negative financial impact on members) and operational impact (valuable time and resources expended on resolving / managing discrepancies).
  • Ensuring members are able to extract the best value of the HealthTrust contract (receiving the tier for which they qualify)
  • Ensuring supplier performance meets expectations (timely tier approval).
What you will do in this role
  • Must be able to interpret contract terms and business intentions to ensure contract tiers can be operationalized by the member and by HealthTrust. This often requires aligning internal and external stakeholders with differing opinions/views. This process may at times be controversial and requires excellent communication and conflict management skills
  • Ensure the final LOC (letter of commitment) is accurate per the legal agreement
  • Creates, maintains and publishes negotiated letters of commitment (LOCs) for all GPO National agreements & Member-specific Custom agreements. Including all business segments (Med/Surg, Lab, Pharmacy, Medical Devices, Purchased Services, Commercial Products & Services, etc
