Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana is seeking an intermediate-level role to support the accurate calculation and processing of commission and sales incentive payments. The position involves maintaining commission systems, resolving discrepancies, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, HR or related field required.
• Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• 2 years of related experience with commission, incentive or payroll system is required.
• Experience in the health insurance industry is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) with a high level of competency in Excel.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and financial information.
• Ability to adapt plans and approaches based on new information or changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation and maintenance of the Commission System to include data entry, loading files, reviewing validation reports, reviewing payment information, and related tasks.
• First tier support of issues/questions from producers and various internal personnel regarding commission system calculations via email and/or phone.
• Communication between various internal departments for research and troubleshooting.
• Gathers data for audit requests to present accurate and timely reporting.
• Tests system enhancements during quarterly releases and as needed.
• Responsible for timely and accurate completion of work tasks assigned.
• Participates in special projects, as assigned by management, to improve Commissions policies and procedures.
