The role compiles data from internal systems and databases, maintains spreadsheets and reports used in commission calculations, and researches discrepancies, escalating those that cannot be resolved at this level. It supports the communication and administration of commission and incentive plans, policies, and quotas rather than designing them. The work follows firm monthly deadlines and requires sustained accuracy with detailed, repetitive data, along with discretion in handling confidential information. Success is demonstrated through complete and timely reporting, early identification and escalation of discrepancies, and well-maintained records that allow calculations to be traced.

  • Prepare monthly commission reports and supporting analytical data for review as it pertains to sales commissions.
  • Compile and maintain spreadsheets and internal database reports to gather the data and metrics required for commission calculations.
  • Maintain accurate monthly reports and research discrepancies in commission calculations.
  • Resolve routine discrepancies and resolve those that cannot be resolved at this level.
  • Provide the data and reporting used to analyze sales performance results.
  • Support the communication and administration of sales commission and incentive plans, policies, and quotas.
  • Provide data and reporting to support the modeling of alternative commission or incentive plan designs and calculations.
  • Respond to routine commission inquiries from the Sales organization.
  • Escalate complex, disputed, or sensitive commission calculations to senior commissions staff.
  • Support the reconciliation of commission accruals and payments with Finance and Payroll.
  • Identify and report data quality issues or system gaps that affect the accuracy or efficiency of commission calculations.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing for new system changes and enhancements
  • Maintain detailed records so commission calculations can be traced to supporting data.
  • Complete reporting accurately and within firm monthly deadlines.
  • Handle confidential compensation and performance information with discretion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Demonstrated comfort with adopting emerging AI tools and technologies to optimize processes, improve collaboration, and drive operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar role
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, sales operations, or a data and reporting role. Required
  • Exposure to sales commission or incentive compensation administration.
  • Hands‑on experience using an ERP, CRM, or dedicated commission or incentive compensation management platform.
  • Experience with CaptivateIQ Commission, Salesforce and NetSuite software preferred.
  • Solid analytical skills, with a basic understanding of accounting processes and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working knowledge of pivot tables and lookup functions.
  • Ability to use ERP systems and other databases to gather information and produce accurate reporting.
  • Ability to work within defined policies and procedures, follow through accurately on objectives, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and sustained accuracy in detailed, repetitive data work.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and courteously with internal customers across the Sales organization.
  • Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential compensation and performance data.
  • Ability to research discrepancies, resolve routine issues, and elevate complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain clear, traceable records and supporting documentation.
