Commissioning Technician I

Westfalia Technologies is a leader in providing solutions for plants, warehouses, and distribution centers. We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focusedCommissioning Technician I to join our Commissioning team. This is an entry-level role focused on foundational commissioning tasks and learning Westfalia’s systems. This position supports senior team members, assists with low-level testing, and builds technical skills through hands-on field experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic commissioning tasks including E-stop verification, I/O checks, and motor rotation tests.
  • Assist with sensor adjustments and timer configurations.
  • Learn to troubleshoot using schematics and meters.
  • Support experienced engineers with mechanical/electrical adjustments.
  • Develop knowledge of code-based troubleshooting.
  • Participate in installer training and assist with installation audits.
  • Work under guidance until independently capable of low-level commissioning tasks.
Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience or formal training in controls or electrical systems.
  • Basic understanding of automation components.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in active industrial settings.
  • Comfortable working at heights and using power tools with guidance.

Travel Requirements:

  • 75–90% travel required.
