Commissioning Specialist

Job Type: Full-time, contract
Job Title: Commissioning Specialist
Location: Washington, DC 20004
Duration: 4 Months, with possible extension

As a Commissioning Specialist, you will:
Requires travel 80-90% of the time, with 2 weeks+ between visits home
When not traveling, thecandidate will travel periodically to the office in Washington, DC - should be close enough to DC for it to be a reasonable commute.
Project safety requirements as needed.
PPE, safety glass, work boots, high vis vest.
HVAC and Building controls knowledge.
Computer proficiency- Microsoft applications
The candidate will need to send in a very detailed daily report detailing what they worked on each day, etc.
Notes from a previous call with the manager:
Looking for someone with 5+ years of the field experience with HVAC and controls, and commissioning experience for commercial/industrial HVAC projects
Experience with functional and operational testing, along with QC checks.
As the assignment progresses, there will be as much as 80-90% travel
The manager is flexible on home location for the candidate as long as they are in the Mid-Atlantic/East Coast area. Previously, we had stated they would be fine nationwide, but he is looking for them to be closer to this area this time.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range: $40-$ 47/hr
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
