Job summary

Corevia Search is partnering with a General Contractor to hire a Commissioning Project Manager for a major hyperscale data center near Chicago. You will lead commissioning coordination from construction readiness through L1-L5 testing, IST and final turnover, interfacing with GC, owner, Cx teams, vendors, and subs.

Ideal candidates have strong data center experience, hands-on knowledge of UPS, generators, MV/LV, PDUs, BMS/EPMS and cooling, plus experience across L1-L5, FPT, IST and turnover

Qualifications

• Must have data center experience
• Experience across L1-L5, FPT, IST and final turnover
• Strong understanding of UPS, generators, switchgear, MV/LV, PDUs, ATS/STS, BMS/EPMS and cooling systems
• GC, EPC or commissioning-provider background preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning coordination across electrical, mechanical and controls systems
• Manage L1-L5 commissioning, startup, FPT, IST and turnover activities
• Coordinate with the GC, owner, Cx teams, vendors and subcontractors
• Review commissioning plans, test scripts, MOPs, SOOs and readiness documentation
• Track issues, punch lists, schedule risk and closeout through final handover
• Drive accountability across project teams to maintain commissioning milestones

Job description

I’m partnered with a General Contractor delivering a major hyperscale data center project. They’re looking for a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning coordination and delivery from construction readiness through L1-L5 testing, IST and final turnover.

• Direct Hire | Near Chicago
• Total package up to and around $350,000
• Two return flights home per month (9 days onsite, Friday home/remote, returning Monday)
• Must have data center experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning coordination across electrical, mechanical and controls systems
• Manage L1-L5 commissioning, startup, FPT, IST and turnover activities
• Coordinate with the GC, owner, Cx teams, vendors and subcontractors
