Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a Project Manager, CX (Commissioning Manager) to plan, coordinate, execute and oversee commissioning activities for mission-critical facilities nationwide, including data centers, hospitals, labs, and airports.

This role requires strong MEP expertise, LEED Enhanced Commissioning and Building Envelope commissioning, and proven PM and team leadership skills. You will drive cross-discipline collaboration and produce clear documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
  • BCxA ACP or CCP certification (or equivalent) required.
  • Strong knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning procedures and MEP systems.
  • Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable working in a mobile, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with data centers and other mission-critical projects preferred.

The company is looking for a Project Manager, CX (Commissioning Manager) to plan, coordinate, execute, and oversee commissioning activities. The role requires strong expertise in MEP systems, with a focus on LEED Enhanced Commissioning and Building Envelope commissioning, and involves leading each phase of the commissioning process to ensure quality and performance across all systems. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical facilities including data centers, hospitals, laboratories, and airports.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with high-performing teams throughout the construction and commissioning lifecycle, especially for complex, mission-critical facilities.
  • Foster integration across disciplines, mechanical, electrical, controls, and operational technology platforms to ensure seamless system performance.
  • Partner with technical experts and subject matter authorities to develop and refine process documentation aligned with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Create compelling written and visual documentation that clearly communicates systems design, intent, and operational functionality. Apply experience and insight, alongside collaboration with design and engineering teams, to define effective commissioning processes.
  • Interpret and analyze design plans and technical specifications with precision.
  • Gather, evaluate, and synthesize information from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Conduct thorough reviews of design drawings, engineering specifications, and equipment submittals.
Skills/Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field, or 8+ years of relevant experience
  • BCxA ACP or CCP certification (or equivalent) required
  • Strong knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning procedures and MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, BAS, plumbing, lighting, fire/life safety, and security
  • Proven experience in project management and team leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to lead and collaborate in high-performing teams
  • Comfortable working in a mobile, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards
  • Experience with data centers and other mission critical projects preferred
