Job summary

Saulsbury Industries is seeking a seasoned commissioning professional to lead multi-discipline projects in the Permian Basin / South Plains region. The role focuses on developing plans, coordinating with engineering, construction and vendors, and ensuring safe, compliant startup and turnover.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years in commissioning or project management with proven leadership across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred.
• 5+ years of commissioning, construction, engineering, or project management experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
• Strong understanding of equipment startup, testing, controls, and system integration.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and documentation.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with project management, engineering, construction, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Lead equipment and system testing, inspection, startup, and functional performance testing.
• Track commissioning progress, deficiencies, punch-list items, and corrective actions.
• Review drawings, specifications, equipment documentation, and testing requirements.
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Manage commissioning teams and coordinate third-party specialists and vendors.
• Prepare progress reports, test records, commissioning certificates, and final handover documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during startup and commissioning.
• Coordinate final system acceptance and turnover to operations or the client.

• Strong client-facing and leadership experience.
