Job summary

Complete Building Services (CBS) seeks a Commissioning Manager to lead Operational Readiness for two new acute-care hospitals in Northern Virginia. You will coordinate all readiness workstreams from contract start to Day-One activation, ensuring full TJC and CMS compliance across facilities.

You will manage budgets, staffing strategies, CMMS data, and regulatory approvals while shaping turnover and documentation in SharePoint.

Qualifications

• CHC or CHFM certification is required or preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in the listed fields is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare facility management and project coordination is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operational Readiness for startup of two new acute-care hospitals in Northern Virginia.
• Coordinate readiness workstreams across facilities; define staffing strategy and continuity plans.
• Support operating budget development, contract execution, and procurement of parts and tools.
• Develop code-compliant asset baselines, safety procedures, and infection-control measures.
• Verify regulatory compliance (NFPA 101, Medical Gas storage) and CMMS data integrity.
• Oversee final construction-to-operations turnover and document control in SharePoint.
• Establish initial PM schedules and coordinate systems verification (cooling, boilers, water treatment).

Responsibilities

Complete Building Services is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead Operational Readiness for the startup of two new acute-care hospitals in Northern Virgina. This role serves as the single point of coordination across all readiness workstreams — from contract start through Day-One activation — ensuring both facilities achieve full TJC and CMS compliance.

Administrative Readiness — Review all Commissioning Reports against design-intent documentation; direct PM library population and CMMS asset-loading, including evaluation of CMMS data extraction to compress development timelines

Project Management — Coordinate all readiness workstreams across both facilities; partner with the client on a staffing strategy to backfill existing engineering resources during transition, defining required FTEs and continuity plans

Budget Management — Support operating budget development and contract execution; verify maintenance agreement scopes, solicit competitive vendor proposals, and coordinate spare parts and tools procurement

Utility Management — Build a verified, code-compliant asset baseline from construction blueprints; develop failure procedures for all essential utilities (Electricity, Water, Gas, HVAC, Boilers, Medical Gases, Generators); establish Elevator Evacuation Procedures and emergency shutoff documentation

Regulatory Compliance — Lead CMMS verification as the linchpin of Physical Environment and Life Safety readiness; coordinate egress door compliance (NFPA 101), fire pump acceptance testing, and Medical Gas cylinder storage verification (NFPA 99)

Policy & Physical Environment — Verify Confined Space identification, signage, and entry procedures; document Critical Pressure Relationship Areas for Infection Control risk assessment and compliance

Facility Turnover — Lead the final construction-to-operations process; assemble and catalog all O&M manuals, As-Built drawings, and Final Commissioning Reports in digital format via SharePoint

Systems Verification — Verify cooling towers, boiler chemical feed, domestic water treatment, CSP/Lab/Dialysis Water Treatment systems, Temperature and Humidity Monitoring, kitchen fire suppression, and air filter inventories; establish initial PM schedules in CMMS

Salary $100,000+ depending on experience

Full time: 40 hr per week

Qualifications

CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance) or CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) from the American Hospital Association
