Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the project commissioning team and oversee commissioning activities across multi-discipline projects in Illinois. You will develop and implement commissioning plans from planning through handover, coordinating with engineering, construction, subcontractors and clients to ensure safe, on-time turnover of systems.

Qualifications

• 5-10 yrs experience in commissioning or installation of technical systems.
• Experience ensuring commissioning aligns with project standards and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and execute an Integrated Field Commissioning Plan with engineering and construction teams.
• Provide leadership on commissioning, systems completion, and turnover to ensure successful execution.
• Serve as primary point of contact for management and operations to align commissioning and startup activities.
• Lead identification and resolution of commissioning and startup issues with timely solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, client representatives and inspectors as needed.
• Review and mature Commissioning Execution Plans into an Integrated Field Plan.
• Create comprehensive plans for safe and effective field completion and handover to steady-state operations.
• Develop and maintain Commissioning Management Procedures, reporting, and QA processes.

Job description

The Senior Commissioning Manager is responsible to build and/or managing the Project Commissioning Team and to lead and oversee the commissioning activities of our projects. The Commissioning Manager will be responsible to provide and develop a Commissioning Plan for ensuring the successful and safe turn over and completion of systems, from commissioning planning through to handover, in collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. This role offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic team, delivering complex projects in diverse industries such as process, utilities, building services, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrated Commissioning Planning: Develop, coordinate, and execute an Integrated Field Commissioning Plan, working closely with the engineering and construction teams to align activities.
• Leadership & Expertise: Provide overall leadership and guidance on all commissioning, systems completion, and turnover/acceptance matters to ensure successful execution.
• Single Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for management and the operations team to ensure alignment and integration of commissioning and start-up activities.
• Issue Identification & Resolution: Lead the identification and resolution of commissioning and start-up issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
• Collaboration: Liaise with internal engineering and construction teams, Subcontractors Commissioning Dpt., Client Representatives and third-party Inspectors (if and when applicable) during commissioning planning and execution to ensure seamless integration of commissioning processes.
• Commissioning Execution Plans: Review and mature Commissioning Execution Plans, consolidating them into an Integrated Field Plan.
• Safe & Effective Field Completion: Develop comprehensive plans and interfaces to ensure safe and effective field completion, transitioning systems to steady-state operations.
• Documentation & Procedures: Develop and maintain Commissioning Management Procedures, Reporting, Systems Acceptance Procedures, Progress Tracking, Start-up and Operating Procedures, Certification Tracking Systems, and Quality Assurance processes.

Required Skills & Experience
