Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a Summer Intern to apply classroom knowledge on real projects from concept to construction. You’ll receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers while supporting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing reviews.

The internship runs mid-May through August, 40 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule allowing up to 3 days remote. Opportunities exist to continue part-time after the summer based on performance and school

Qualifications

Pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or sustainability in the built environment.
Basic experience with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
The ability to receive and absorb technical training with a high level of retention.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Intern will work at applying academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types from concept to completion of construction.
They are provided on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers to learn the basics of reviewing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs, conducting site visits to document construction progress, conducting functional performance testing, and creating commissioning documents.
