Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to perform final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment in field and manufacturing environments.

The role requires understanding of complex electrical distribution systems, safe work practices, and the ability to travel regionally or nationally to customer sites. You will contribute to on-site documentation and testing plans while collaborating with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Basic knowledge of commissioning, inspection and testing of electrical components and systems.
• Knowledge of basic electrical engineering theories.
• Good communication skills and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist more experienced commissioning specialists coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables.
• Prepare and review simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets.
• Perform basic electrical calculations and data reviews.
• Review supplier documentation for specification compliance.
• Use the electrical engineering portal to access guides and standards.
• Support safe and efficient commissioning activities on-site and in manufacturing environments.
