We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer with deep expertise in HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and controls integration to join our field-based team. This role is critical to the successful execution and delivery of commissioning services across large-scale infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities.

You will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and validating complex mechanical and controls systems to ensure optimal functionality, energy efficiency, and compliance with design and performance specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field-based commissioning of HVAC and BMS systems across new and retrofit projects.
• Conduct system inspections, functional performance testing, point-to-point checks, and diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in mechanical systems and integrated controls (BAS, BMS, DDC, etc.).
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and client representatives to ensure systems meet operational goals.
• Generate comprehensive commissioning documentation including reports, punch lists, and redlines.
• Verify sequence of operations (SOO), sensor calibration, and system control logic functionality.
• Support closeout processes and handover documentation for client teams and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and emerging technologies in HVAC and building automation.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of field commissioning experience, with strong exposure to HVAC and BMS systems.
• Proficiency with common control systems (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, and control sequences.
• Familiarity with TAB (Testing, Adjusting, Balancing), energy efficiency standards, and LEED/BCA practices is a plus.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be willing to travel regionally or nationally as needed (up to 75%).
