Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a results-driven professional who blends technical skill with a people-first approach to sustainable building systems.

You will apply expertise in HVAC, building automation, and energy systems, review design documents and code compliance, and mentor a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-impact projects.

Qualifications

• HVAC, building automation, energy systems knowledge required.
• Ability to review design documents, OPRs, and energy code compliance.
• Experience developing commissioning plans.
• Strong project coordination and leadership skills.
• CAD/Revit experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
• Ability to mentor team members and lead meetings.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of HVAC, building automation, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and energy systems.
• Review design documents, OPRs, and energy code compliance (WSEC and others).
• Lead functional testing and system optimization; identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Develop commissioning plans and guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate multiple projects with strong organization and time-management.
• Lead meetings with diverse stakeholders and monitor construction progress.
• Mentor team members and provide project leadership.
• Communicate technical issues clearly and collaboratively.
• Develop client documentation, reports, and owner training materials.
• Build positive client relationships and support departmental growth.
• Use Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; CAD/Revit experience is a plus.
