Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to apply power system automation and commissioning concepts. You will support customers with design, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and protection systems, both on-site and from SEL offices.

As a Commissioning Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Know and apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of power system automation and commissioning. Assist teams that support customers with the design, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and or protection systems, both on-site and from SEL offices. Complete assigned work using established procedures and working under immediate supervision. Complete assigned work within agreed upon scope, schedule and budget while focusing on quality and safety.
Focus Area = Commissioning
Commissioning = perform commissioning and site acceptance testing in the field, train and assist customers with installation, commissioning and operation of devices. Up to 75% travel.
This position is available in Pullman, WA; Houston, TX; or Alpharetta, GA.
Competitive pay.
Pay Range Data Project Engineer I: $97,000 — $144,000. Project Engineer II: $115,000 - $170,000. Project Engineer III: $136,000 - $201,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
