A global manufacturer of industrial machinery is seeking a Setup & Commissioning Engineer to oversee machine startups and PLC programming at client sites. This hands-on role involves extensive travel and customer interaction. You'll work with leading PLC platforms and train operators post-installation. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in automation commissioning and a relevant engineering degree. Strong PLC skills are required, with an appreciation for Spanish being a plus. The position offers competitive salary and growth opportunities.
Salary: $90,000 – $95,000 base (up to $100,000 for an exceptional profile)
Travel: 70% of the time
Our client is a global manufacturer of industrial machinery, operating internationally across North America, EMEA, and LATAM, with a strong market position in the US.
They design, build, and commission highly automated equipment for a wide range of industries worldwide.
You’ll join a fast-growing US commissioning team (25–30 engineers), with full support, structured onboarding, and international exposure.
Training is provided both in Spain (initial weeks) and in the US, alongside experienced local engineers.
This is a hands‑on Setup & Commissioning Engineer role, focused on machine startup, PLC programming, and on‑site commissioning at customer facilities worldwide.
It is not a plant maintenance or office‑based automation role — this position is for engineers who enjoy travel, customer interaction, and solving real technical challenges on site.
You will report to the US Commercial Director and the Project Managers.
